India's first public private partnership to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in aviation, aerospace and space-tech
Social Alpha, CSIR NAL and NRDC have come together to establish mach33.aero, a deep tech innovation and entrepreneurship promotion initiative focused on “lab to market” enablement of Aviation, Aerospace and Space-tech Engineering innovations and its wide-ranging applications across diverse sectors like SpaceTech, Defense, Air Mobility, Agriculture, Climate Change, Natural Resources Management, Insurance and Weather Forecasting. mach33.aero will catalyse, incubate and accelerate start-ups and SMEs for Atmanirbhar Bharat in these sectors of national strategic importance.
To operationalise mach33.aero, a new not-for-profit entity has been registered under section 8 of Indian Companies Act called FAIRE (Foundation for Aerospace Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship).This new entity has been created as a joint venture through NRDC (Legal entity to represent CSIR-NAL) and FISE (Legal entity to represent Social Alpha architecture).
mach33.aero will operate in a hub and spoke model with its hub already operationalized within the CSIR-NAL campus in Bangalore. The mach33.aero architecture is envisaged to be spread across multiple nodes across the nation focusing on integrating with capital access, manufacturing infrastructure, supplier ecosystem, lab and validation ecosystems etc.
